AUTOMATION OPTIONS

Roll-smart automation system:

  • Security - The “Keeloq” rolling code technology secures the system from criminal “code cloning”. The risk of another handset using the same code is eliminated as the transmitter uses a different code from one of two billion after every operation.
  • Quiet Operation - Noise is reduced as the motor is housed entirely within the roll of the door giving a quiet and smooth performance.
  • Automatic Light - Lights your garage for up to 90 seconds after the motor is activated.
  • Roll-smart automation - A slimline aluminium Roll-Smart track fits to the back of the garage door guide. It is incredibly effective and detects obstructions within the doorway, the door reverses automatically should the downward movement be restricted. No more batteries or curly cables. The system uses a standard bottom weather seal without the need for vulnerable electrical contact strips / optical beams inside. The aluminium track is fully sealed to category IP65, and is ultra reliable for trouble free operation year after year. Installation and setup couldn’t be easier. The Roll-Smart track requires a simple 3-wire connection direct to the Slim Line RS-1 control unit. The proven roller door control unit, equipped with reliable microprocessor electronics and extra low voltage control circuits make for complete safety.
  • Doors over 3800mm wide will be supplied with a twin track.

Obstacle Detection Motor:

  • The obstacle detection motor comes with built in safety as standard. Suitable for doors up to 3500mm wide.
  • No wall mounted control box required.
  • Comes with 2 user handsets to operate the door.
  • A 'set up' handset is supplied to alter the obstacle detection sensitivity.

Hold-to-Run automation:

  • Controllers are to be fitted in a fixed position where you have full sight of the area of the garage door, this is so that you can check that there are no obstacles or persons in front of the door when you operate the system.

Headroom - 77mm foam filled lath, requires 300mm of headroom (or 360mm if guide height is above 2700mm).

Guides - Supplied with 70mm guides for doors up to 3.5m wide and 90mm guides if over 3.5m.

A Note Concerning Colours: The manufacturing process for the lath profile results in a textured finish, whilst all other coloured items (guides, bottom laths, lock laths, optional fascias and vision panels) are supplied in a satin finish so cannot be guaranteed to match exactly. Over time, some scuffing may occur on front and rear surfaces of doors as a result of their normal operation.

Insulated Roller Door (77mm Lath)

PLEASE ENSURE YOU FULLY READ THIS 'MEASURING GUIDE' BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER

This is a made-to-measure door, once manufactured, cancellations or returns are not accepted.

You can install an Insulated Roller Garage Door door either in-between the garage brickwork or behind the reveal. The design of this type of door means the width is the same all the way from bottom of the guides to top of the endplates (box) which sits in line with the outer edge of the guides.

Gliderol insulated roller doors by virtue of their construction require space above the lintel to conceal the rolled up section of the door. The headroom required is 300mm. If the recommended headroom is not available this door may still be installed, however some loss of opening height will occur and the roll of the door (or Half Box / Full Box if selected) will be visible.

Measuring the Height for ordering:

  • The Ordering Height refers to the height of the side guides NOT including the Curtain Roll/Box above this height.

Measuring the Width for ordering:

The Ordering Width for insulated roller doors refers to the full width of the curtain required plus the width of the guides.

  • 140mm (2x 70mm guides) for doors up to 3500mm wide.
  • 180mm (2x 90mm guides) for doors over 3500mm wide.

Fitting IN-BETWEEN the reveal brickwork:

Measure the structural opening of the garage door, take the width measurement in 3 places, across the top, middle and bottom. You should use the shortest measurement then take a little more off to allow for fitting tolerance (usually about 15mm). This would be your ordering width.

Then measure the height from the floor to the underside of the lintel in 3 places taking the shortest measurement. Then minus 300mm for the box and minus an extra 10mm or so for fitting tolerance. This would be your ordering height.

Fitting BEHIND the reveal brickwork:

Measure the structural opening of the garage door, take the width measurement in 3 places, across the top, middle and bottom, take the widest dimension. Then add the width of the guides (140mm for doors up to 3500mm wide and 180mm for doors over 3500mm wide). This should be your ordering width. If you want part of the guides to be visible on the outside of the door simply reduce the ordering width accordingly.

Then measure the height from the floor to the underside of the lintel. If you have enough headroom above the lintel, between the lintel and the ceiling (300mm), this would be classed as the ‘guide height’ (ordering height).

If you don’t have at least 300mm headroom between the lintel and ceiling for the box, you can still order the door but the drive through height would be reduced. In this instance measure the height from the floor to the ceiling in a few places taking the shortest measurement. Then minus 300mm for the box and an extra 10mm or so for fitting tolerance. This would be your ordering height.
